Regarding my health, I was thinking that I was becoming lazy as I move so little and am so often fatigued. With that in mind I hired a personal trainer to help me get back on track. What a challenge. I am totally deconditioned. In the meantime my back is still painful. I will see the neurosurgeon today. The hardware seems to be even more prominent than before and I want him to check it out. I was using a wheelchair to give tours at the museum as I could not talk, walk, stand for 1 hour. Now I have graduated to a walker. This gives me more freedom. I am still in good spirits.
Meg and I enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day lunch with Vicky and her family. Her mother, Ansie, has just completed her book about her life from birth until the end of WWII. What a life! Today I am going to a party for the proofreaders. I was enjoying the book so much when I was proofing it that I wonder if I caught all mistakes.

Thanks, Jim for taking the picture.

Filoli is always wonderful. Michael and I try to go every two weeks. The roses are spectacular now.

Kate, Murray, Olive and Keela are coming in two weeks. Meg and I are very excited to see them. They will be here for 5 weeks. Isn't that wonderful?

I have had some special lunches with friends this month. What a nice part of my life this is.
I signed up for the Apple "one on one" tutorials as I bought a new computer. I wonder what these young computer guys think of the old people they tutor? That's all I see at the tutorial station...young guys and old clients.
That's it for now. I look forward to sending you photos from our visit with Kate's family.
Love,
Diane
