I did not mean to make you wait so long for new knee news, but time got away from me in this hectic schedule of meds, feedings, exercising, icing, resting, ultra-sounds, x-rays, physical therapy...need I say more? Dr. D. is the most organized M.D. on the planet and he gives you a full schedule after surgery. My best perk is my good, long-time friend, Araby's 10-day post-op visit. She flew in from Colorado on Friday. I was home on Thursday, but Araby had a conflict. Bruce arranged for his S.O. to be with me then. Great to have a back-up! Here are Araby and I on Sunday, doing the regular Sunday activities. We've had to make checklists to remember to do everything every day. There is a merit badge somewhere for all of this.
How am I feeling? Woosy. The pain medication is effective in making me nuts. I have vivid, ridiculous dreams. I say stupid things. The P.T. who comes here 3X per week is helping me adjust the dosage. Just in time. My knee is bending well beyond 90 degrees and is straightening to 0 degrees. I'm still using the walker and seem to be progressing as I should be. I see Dr. D. on Thursday and will give you an update afterwards.
Thank you for all of your good wishes. I am blessed to have you all in my life.
Love,
Diane

Diane, great picture! Glad to hear that you're progressing--sorry about the bad dreams. I'll be looking forward to the report from the doctor on Thursday. It sounds like you are being the ideal patient--again. Hopefully, the day will soon come when you'll just be ideal.
Love, Kathleen
