Since last writing I have had my master bathroom redone and my bedroom repainted. Both projects turned out well and I am glad that I finally did this. I disliked my old bathroom tile from the beginning, twenty-five years ago. What was I waiting for? As you must know, the project took longer than expected and cost more. But I'm happy now that all's well.
I went to Australia in February, arriving 10 hours before baby BOY Hugh was born. What an exciting time for all of us.
Here are some photos of Olive and Keela and Hugh. I have also included a photo of the view from Kate and Murray's front door.

Murray's mom, Anne, asked me to give a presentation to her Rotary Club. I was glad to do so. I really like Anne. I gave her several choices of topics. She chose "Native Arts of the Northwest Coast of North America." I worked on this for several weeks, getting the Power Point project just right. The gallery at the Cantor Arts Center has a large collection of NW Coast art. As you enter the gallery you are greeted by two totem poles connected by a lentil. I appreciate this art and the cultures associated with it. The presentation in Warrnambool was a success. I was asked to give another on a different topic when I return to Australia.
Speaking at the Rotary Club is far from the Academy Awards ceremony. Soon after I returned it was time for that fun, long, glamorous event. I had a few friends over to watch the ceremony. I gave Meg a budget to decorate. She did a great job. Here are a few guests:

I came back from Australia a day early so that I could attend the wedding celebration for the daughter of my next-door neighbors. They immigrated from India about 30 years ago. The celebration was fun. The women were outstanding in their exquisite saris. Here is Smita in her wedding dress.

I've said nothing about my health. How about that!
Wishing all of you well.
Love,
Diane
