Hello friends,
I started this blog a week ago and now I can't find it. Maybe it is resting in the iClouds.

First, health news: I saw the neurologist about my feet. He said that I have peripheral neuropathy. There is no cure and I will always have it. He recommended that I see a physical therapist about 4 times for walking exercises. I had my first session and can tell that it will help. He also suggested that I buy trekking sticks for walking long distances (I assume that is longer than from my house to the outside garbage cans) and for use on uneven terrain. I went immediately to REI and bought light weight collapsable poles. They are great. When people ask about them, I say that I am training for the Senior Olympics.

The family in Australia is doing well. Here is Olive's school photo. She is in kindergarten, called "prep" in Australia. Where did those years go?

Meg and I were treated to lunch by Vicky on Mother's Day. Vicky's mother is in her 90's and doing well. Here we are:

Meg has a new friend. I really like him. She sees him often. Time will determine what happens. Chris is very sportive. Here they are on the beach.

My friend and former college roommate, Cilla, comes to this area often. Her son, his wife and their son, Akhil, live in Palo Alto. I was privileged to attend Akhil's Bollywood performance in a local theater. As you see, Akhil is ready for the stage.

I trained to be a docent for the new exhibition at the Cantor Arts Center. It is called "The Art of the Book." Five small presses are included. The books are wonderful examples of old technology and new technology combining to produce an object of art. We were lucky to visit Moving Parts Press where Felicia demonstrated how she produces her books. In the photo she is demonstrating how she sets type for a letterpress.

That's about it. I was going to complain about our very cold spring, but learning about weather in other parts of the U.S. and the world I decided that I was acting spoiled.

Love to all,
Diane
