what's up with this?

Hello all,
I have been working on writing a new blog for two days. Blogspot has changed its format and I am hopelessly lost. So here goes another try. I am going to pick up where I left off in "November already" and see if I can make it work.

I left describing how much I loved Prague and ended with a photo from a monastery library there. So on with the trip. We rode on buses to Nuremberg where we boarded a nice 80 passenger barge. In Nuremberg we visited the chambers where the Nazi trials occurred. The building has a museum about the Holocaust. I am interested the subject yet sickened by the crimes against humanity.

We visited many German towns on our way to France. Many were destroyed in WWII but have been restored. Charming intact villages still survive.

Our final barge stop was Strasbourg where we visited the European Parliament building and hear presentations by people who work there. There are two places where the representatives meet; the other is in Brussels. Strasbourg has a wonderful old section. I have tried to capture its essence from the barge.

From Strasbourg we took the fast train to Paris. Paris is always wonderful to me. I stayed a few extra days after the tour ended and pretended that I was an investigative photographer capturing images of Hemingway's first residence, Gertrude Stein's place and more. I had just read "The Paris Wife" from whence this mission became my thing.

Au Revoir from Paris' most famous icon.

Love,
Diane
